The father of sociologyAugust Comte (1798-1857) was a famous French philosopher. His established the fundamental philosophy of “positivism” which is majorly evolved from modern science in his famous book “Positive Philosophy”. It is also an attempt to remedy the social disorder caused by French Revolution. He is also the first philosopher of modern science.

He introduced the term “sociology” to the world. He described that society and individual are two element of this social world and both are dependent on each other. Some of his famous books are Positive Philosophy, Positive Polity, Catechism of positivism etc.
